Hand planes are fucking stupid! Thats right I said it. The best part of body surfing is that you don't need anything but yourself. The only reason their so popular is cause any douche can make one and feel like a shaper. I love wood and love making things out of it as much as the next guy, but come on make something you will actually want to use when your done like a skateboard, surfboard, spice rack, or a stick for you dog to fetch. Have I done it? Yes. Was is fun? Sure. I've also gotten drunk off wine coolers and and had a blast, it doesn't mean I'm going to do it again. Even the prez knows the deal. -SPK

Competitive surfing?

I was reading the Pioneers blog today about the ASP tour, I know there are alot of opinions about competitive surfing so here's mine. WHO CARES? but its not what you might think, I care. I care to watch it. I don't really care who wins. I don't surf anything like these people. I don't surf boards anything like the boards these people surf, but its interesting. So I say who cares if I like it. Who cares if you hate it.

To quote Bryan from Pioneers "When ever I get going on this topic I get a lot of people who look at me funny. They give me the "it's only surfing, don't take it so serious" or "how can you really care that much about surfing". What always cracks me up is that the people that give me shit are the same ones who would die for there favorite football team, LAME!!! Ahhh Summer...

I've in the past been known to get bummed out on the time between Memorial Day to Labor Day cause of all the fucktards that suddenly invade the lineup. After years of being pissed off I've notice nothing has changed it doesn't do any good, actually the number of fucktards seems to be rising. The only thing changing is me, every year I get more crotchety and jaded to the point where I've actully on occasion stayed out of the water cause of the vast number of fucktards occupying it, Well No More!
I'm taking a new stand of bring it on, come to the beach, bring your mother, your dog, your fucking priest, I don't care I'm going to smile, say hi, and stare at your girlfriend's ass. It's going to be rad. Think about it if you get pissed then the fucktards win. Fuck'em go surf have fun and be nice. Then when they fuck up and they will, you can take all your anger out on them. Pull a point break move and cut the leash on their Bic HA HA HA. Wax their windshields HA HA HA. Jump off you board and shoot it at their head decapitating them HA HA HA. Its nice to know that if your smart and look around a bit you can still find a spot with a only a few people out. Sure the wave might not be as good but if the better wave has fifty dudes on it is it really better? -SPK

Examples of prejudice

In the book To Kill a Mockingbird , one of multiple themes concerns a man wrongly tried and convicted because of his race. The movie Gattaca is about a future where genetically-enhanced people are the majority, while a non-genetically enhanced minority are socially and economically discriminated and marginalized for their "imperfections". A noteworthy example is the Mutant race in the X-Men, which are frequently subjected to prejudice. Wind Power

So a school near my house just put one of these bad Larry's in. The neighbors are bummed because they have to look at it but I like it, I think there cool looking. It supplies the school with 70% of its power for the year. I'm currently building one on my roof with plywood and scrap metal and I'm going to paint a spiral on it so anyone who looks at it will become hypnotized and do my biding. Free electricity and an army of loyal pawns......SICK
